Last updated 10 September 2026
1.Introduction
- 1.1This Privacy Policy applies to the processing of personal data by Individual entrepreneur Egor Silonov, identification number 306409240, registered in Georgia (further — “ExtRanks”, “we”), in connection with the extranks.com website and the content, services and products available through it (the “Service”).
- 1.2By accessing or using the Service you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, do not use the Service. The Service is available only to individuals who are at least 16 years old.
- 1.3This Privacy Policy is to be read together with our Terms of Service.
2.Personal data we process
- 2.1Account data. Your email address, the name you choose to provide, and — where you sign in with a password — a cryptographic hash of that password. We never store the password itself.
- 2.2Sign-in data. Where you sign in with Google, the data described in section 3.
- 2.3Service data. Your plan, account role, verification and activity timestamps, your preferences, and the session identifier held in a cookie that keeps you signed in.
- 2.4Technical data, collected automatically when you use the Service: IP address, request time, user agent and referring page.
- 2.5Correspondence. The content of messages you send to our support address, and our replies.
- 2.6We do not request or store payment card details, government identifiers, or any special category of personal data.
3.Signing in with Google
- 3.1If you choose to sign in with Google, we request only the
openid, emailandprofilescopes. We receive your Google account identifier, your email address and basic profile information, and we use them to create and authenticate your ExtRanks account and for no other purpose. - 3.2We do not request or access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts, photos or Google Ads account data.
- 3.3ExtRanks’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- 3.4You can revoke ExtRanks’ access at any time in your Google Account permissions. Doing so removes that sign-in method; it does not by itself delete your ExtRanks account.
4.Why we process it
- 4.1To register you, authenticate you and provide the Service — necessary to perform our contract with you.
- 4.2To keep accounts secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms — our legitimate interest in a service that is not abused.
- 4.3To answer your support messages — to perform our contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- 4.4To understand how the Service is used and improve it — our legitimate interest, or your consent where a cookie is involved (see section 5).
- 4.5To send announcements about the Service, such as changes and planned downtime. These are part of the Service and cannot be opted out of. Anything promotional is sent only with your consent and carries an unsubscribe link.
- 4.6To comply with our legal obligations.
5.Cookies and analytics
- 5.1We set cookies that are necessary to operate the Service: keeping you signed in, protecting forms against abuse, and recording your cookie choice.
- 5.2We measure how the website is used with a privacy-focused analytics service that sets no cookies and does not follow visitors across other websites.
- 5.3We do not currently use any analytics that relies on cookies. If we ever add one, it will load only after you accept it through a consent banner, and you will be able to withdraw that consent at any time by clearing the site’s cookies in your browser.
- 5.4We do not run advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking on this website.
6.Who else sees it
- 6.1We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
- 6.2We use service providers that process personal data only on our instructions, in the following categories: hosting and infrastructure, transactional email, error monitoring, and web analytics. Each is bound by a written agreement and may not use the data for its own purposes.
- 6.3Some providers are located outside Georgia and the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred internationally we rely on the safeguards required by applicable law, including standard contractual clauses.
- 6.4We may disclose personal data where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
7.Retention and security
- 7.1Account data is kept for as long as your account exists and for a limited period afterwards, to handle disputes and meet legal obligations. Correspondence is kept for as long as it remains relevant. Technical logs are kept for a short operational period.
- 7.2When your account is deleted we delete or irreversibly anonymise the personal data associated with it, except where the law requires us to keep it.
- 7.3We apply administrative, physical and technical safeguards appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, hashing of credentials, and access limited to those who need it.
8.Marketplace and search demand data
- 8.1Beyond the personal data above, ExtRanks processes publicly available Chrome Web Store listing information and search demand metrics obtained from third-party sources, including Google. That data describes extensions and search phrases, not the people who use ExtRanks, and it is not personal data about you.
- 8.2We label the source of the data we display, and we do not present estimates from one source as measurements from another.
9.Your rights
- 9.1You may request access to your personal data, its correction or erasure, the restriction of processing, a copy in a portable format, and you may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.
- 9.2To exercise any of these, write to hello@extranks.com. We may ask for information needed to confirm who you are, and we will respond within one month.
- 9.3If you believe we have handled your personal data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country.
10.Changes and contact
- 10.1We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version and its date are always on this page, and we will notify account holders of material changes before they take effect.
- 10.2Questions about this Privacy Policy or about how we handle your data: hello@extranks.com.
